Collection: NOON

Drew and wife Raegan Noon returned to McLaren Vale and purchased Noon's from Drew's parents in 1996. Drew had previously spent many years as a consultant oenologist and viticulturist in Vic, and thereafter a time as winemaker at Cassegrain. His rich red wines have a loyal following, and are eagerly snapped up by customers on the mailing list. Exports to the UK, the US, and other major markets. -JAMES HALLIDAY

THE STORY

The opulent and densely concentrated Noon Reserve Shiraz is sourced from the Borrett family’s 20 Rows block vineyard at Langhorne Creek. Vinified in small open vats and pressed using a traditional basket press, the wine is aged for 18 months in new (30%) and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Dark berry fruits, ample flavours, dense, chocolatey textures, integrated mocha notes and an alcohol kick are all hallmarks of this substantial wine. Ageing potential for 10 to 15 years depending on vintage.
