Collection: XANADU

Xanadu Wines was established in '77 by Dr John Lagan and was purchased by the Rathbone family in '05. Together with talented winemaker Glenn Goodall and his team, they have significantly improved the quality of the wines. The vineyard has been revamped via soil profiling, improved drainage, precision viticulture and reduced yields. The quality of the wines made since the acquisition of the Stevens Road vineyard in ’08 has been consistently outstanding. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Xanadu is located in the idyllic heart of Margaret River only 4 km from the town centre and equal distance to the magnificent coastline. A true pioneer of the region with a long history of producing fresh and vibrant wines that embody all the region has to offer, Xanadu is one of the earliest vineyards to be established with first vines planted in 1977 by Dr John Lagan. Inspired by the beauty of the setting, he named the property after the mysterious, idyllic paradise in Samuel Coleridge’s poem, Kubla Khan. Xanadu is now one of the most acclaimed wineries in the country, renowned for quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
