Collection: TAHBILK

For five generations, the Purbrick family have tended vines and protected the delicate watering holes and landscape of their property outside Nagambie. The winery should be visited at least once by every wine-conscious Australian. It produces marsanne and a range of reds made very much as they were by the late, great Eric Purbrick. The family has moved fast in securing a more sustainable future, re-establishing natural wetlands, revegetating 160ha of land with indigenous trees and plants and beginning the journey to converting its vineyards to organic. Tahbilk was first accredited as a carbon-neutral winery in ’13. -JENI PORT

The story of Tahbilk Winery begins with the land and the river. This place is known as tabilk-tabilk, 'place of many waterholes' in the language of the Daung-wurrung clans, the first people; a name which perfectly describes the landscape.
