Seppeltsfield Para Liqueur is one of Australia's historic fortified wines and a longstanding icon of the Barossa Valley. First released in 1953 in its distinctive bell-shaped bottle, Para became renowned for its remarkable concentration, complexity and extended maturation in seasoned oak. This 1981 Vintage Tawny offers significant appeal for collectors of mature Australian fortified wine.

Winemaking

Based on Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, Para Liqueur undergoes extended maturation in small seasoned oak barrels under warm cellar conditions. Evaporation during maturation progressively concentrates the wine's flavour, aroma and viscosity, contributing to the silky texture, richness and balance between sweetness and savoury freshness that define the Para style.
