As one of Bremerton's three flagship red wines, this offering boasts remarkable consistency, thanks to 20 months of aging in French and American oak, along with well-established estate vineyards in a region known for its gentle softness. It presents a beautifully balanced wine featuring rich dark berry flavors at its heart, harmonizing with quality oak and finely integrated tannins. This wine is poised to enhance its elegance over the coming decades.
Exuding classic Langhorne Creek characteristics, it showcases sweet black plums, chocolate, and coffee notes, all while remaining richly flavored and full-bodied without being heavy. Its glossy texture features cedary oak and plush tannins, resulting in a balanced and complex experience that is truly hedonistic.
Bremerton Wines and Bremerton Vineyards are part of the family-owned Bremerton Vintners Pty Ltd, located in the Langhorne Creek region of South Australia. This unique area sits on the fertile soil of the Bremer River floodplain and is recognized for its cool climate, which helps produce exceptionally high-quality fruit with minimal disease. The refreshing evening breezes from Lake Alexandrina create a microclimate of warm summer days and cool nights, ideal for the extended ripening of grapes that yield intense and desirable cool-climate flavors.
The region was first settled in the 1850s by Frank Potts, an English shipwright, who cultivated grapes on his land. Over the years, the vineyard area expanded from 450 hectares to approximately 6,000 hectares by 1990, making it the second-largest grape-growing region in South Australia.
