The 2016 Wendouree Malbec is a benchmark Australian Malbec from one of the country's most legendary producers. Sourced from old vines in the Clare Valley, it combines concentration, freshness, and extraordinary structure.

The exceptional 2016 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest of the decade, producing wines with outstanding fruit purity, tannin quality, and longevity. Wendouree's low-yielding vineyards produced a Malbec of remarkable depth and precision.

Intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, mulberry, and plum are layered with violets, ironstone, cedar, tobacco, and earthy spice. The palate is powerful yet finely balanced, displaying dense fruit, vibrant acidity, and exceptionally fine tannins.

Still in its infancy, the 2016 Wendouree Malbec is built for long-term cellaring and is expected to evolve gracefully over the next 20–30+ years.
