Overview
The 2019 Pende Valde Barossa Valley The Mosman Shiraz 750ml is a flagship Barossa Valley Shiraz that pays tribute to Archibald Mosman (1799–1863), the pioneering Scottish merchant and pastoralist whose entrepreneurial legacy helped shape early Australia. Crafted by Pende Valde, this limited-production wine reflects the bold character and uncompromising quality for which the Barossa is renowned.
Sourced from premium Barossa Valley vineyards, The Mosman showcases the richness, power and longevity of classic Australian Shiraz. Full-bodied and intensely flavoured, it combines generous dark fruit with velvety texture and finely integrated oak, offering both immediate appeal and excellent cellaring potential.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2019 growing season in Barossa Valley produced Shiraz with outstanding ripeness, concentration and structure. Warm conditions encouraged excellent flavour development while preserving the region's hallmark richness and depth.
Following traditional fermentation, the wine was matured in oak to build additional complexity while maintaining the purity of Barossa Shiraz fruit. The result is a full-bodied wine with impressive depth, silky texture and exceptional ageing potential. Crafted by winemaker William Penfold Simpson, The Mosman reflects both regional character and meticulous winemaking.
