The 2023 Domaine Jacques Cacheux Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Bas de Combes is a small-production village Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits. Made from Pinot Noir, it reflects the firmer savoury character often associated with Nuits-Saint-Georges, while retaining the Cacheux hallmarks of full destemming, natural fermentation, flavour intensity and textural depth.

Vintage & Winemaking

Domaine Jacques Cacheux works without herbicides, insecticides or anti-rot treatments in the vineyard. In the cellar, grapes are fully destemmed, followed by around one week of cold maceration before fermentation with natural yeasts. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration, preserving texture, depth and site expression.

About Domaine Jacques Cacheux

Domaine Jacques Cacheux et Fils is a small Vosne-Romanée producer farming 7 hectares across some of the Côte de Nuits’ most respected sites. Family holdings include Echezeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots, the rare La Croix Rameau Premier Cru beside Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and village lieux-dits such as Les Chalandins, Les Ormes, Aux Réas and Les Raviolles.

The domaine is now run by Pascal Cacheux. The wines are fully destemmed, cold macerated for around one week, fermented with natural yeasts and bottled without fining or filtration, producing Burgundy with flavour, intensity and enduring character.
