The 2022 Greenock Creek Alices Block Shiraz is a vibrant, richly concentrated expression from one of the Barossa Valley’s most characterful producers. Alices Block sits adjacent to the original Roennfeldt Road plantings and has long been recognised as one of Greenock Creek’s most expressive vineyard sites — delivering plush, dark fruit intensity with the estate’s signature depth and muscular structure.

The 2022 vintage in the Barossa Valley produced wines of purity, freshness and excellent natural balance. A mild, steady growing season with cooler nights allowed Shiraz to ripen slowly, enhancing aromatics and preserving acidity while maintaining the dark-fruited richness expected of the western Barossa. The resulting Alices Block release carries both generosity and precision.

The wine opens with lifted, seductive aromas of blackberry compote, dark plum, blueberry, licorice and cocoa. Notes of violet, anise, cracked pepper and subtle smoked spice add complexity. The integration of fine-quality oak contributes hints of vanilla, mocha and warm cedar without overwhelming the fruit.
