The de Pury family has cultivated land in the Yarra Valley since 1863. Once renowned for its vineyard in the 19th century, production halted in 1921 as fine table wines declined in popularity. In 1969, Guill and Katherine de Pury began replanting, gradually restoring the estate’s historic reputation. Today, fourth-generation winemaker Sandra de Pury leads Yeringberg, with her brother David overseeing the vineyard. The low-yielding, ancient vines produce wines known for exceptional finesse and age-worthiness.
