About This Spirit

This limited-edition blend was created to push the boundaries of what Scotch whisky could be. Johnnie Walker Master Blender Emma Walker and Japanese chef Kei Kobayashi set out to encapsulate the enigmatic taste of umami, with only one in 25,000 casks selected for this release. Crafted through a precision process respecting the grains, yeast, still shape and maturation time, it presents a balance of savoury-sweet character within an innovative flavour profile.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep golden colour burnished in the light.

Nose: Notes of blood oranges and red berries with sweet wood spice.

Palate: Rich caramelised miso notes with tropical top notes of grilled pineapple, rich cacao and blackberry tannin.

Finish: Cleansing mineral salinity leading to a long, sweet, fruit finish.
